For a completely different view refer to the discussion Dr Berg had with Pr. Bruce Hollis, also talks about proper research in the second half Hesr is a summary of the first 15 minutes There are 2 systems involving Vietnam D 1. The skeletal integrity and calcium regulation in the blood and you can maintain this system by as little as 25 ng/ml in the blood 2. The cellular system, this refers to cells responding to vitamin D and have nothing to do with the Skeletal system, it involves immunity, cancer prevention, dimentia prevention, genes regulation.. There are about 20k genes in the human body controlled in one way or another and vitamin D is involved in 10% of them. The maintenance of this system requires much higher level than 25 ng, probably it is more like 50 ng/ml in the blood . A range of 50 to a100 ng is normal for a populstion which is exposed to the sun 3. When people talk about vitamin D, they refer to the one made under the skin or from supplements and is called "parent compound", which is tranformed into the INACTIVE form 25 Hydroxyvitamin, it is an intermediate form that can stay in the body for weeks, called the "reservoir", this form is not acceptable to the cellular system, though accessible to the kidneys to maintain the calcium in the blood, this form is then turned into the ACTIVE goem 125 dihyroxyvitamin, the parent form can however enter directly in the cells and gets turned directly into the active form, the problem however is that it disappears within a day, hence, the need for daily suuplentation. Understanding this mechanisms obviously leads to the fact that while weekly or monthly or even yearly doses help the skeletal system they ate of little benefit to thr cellular system, hence, the need for daily supplements or sun exposute and many physicians fo not know or understand this.

For a year or more I was taking D-3 K-2 10,000. When I was tested at my annual my vitamin level was way over what it should have been. I have stopped taking my 10,000 dosage and it took 3 months to get it down to slightly more than it should be. I have not heard of anyone else having too much Vitamin D.

There do seem to be enormous gaps between research involving tens of thousands of vid d per day to recommending 800 a day. Also the particularly relevant info about the risks of 4000 or more fore elderly people gives no detail about the research. So overall it seems quite unbalanced to me as a psychologist

From what I understand, do the studies you cited refer to the simple administration of vitamin D3? Ignoring important if not fundamental factors: such as the intake of magnesium in assimilable forms the intake of vitamin k-k2 from diet or supplement it has been known for decades that vitamin D alone is useless except in the case of serious deficiency, so I don't understand the meaning of these studies. Great video, but I recommend a serious study on the topic. regards.

If we accept a level of 20 to 40 ng/ml being the optimum, how do I know that my level of supplementation puts me in that bracket ? The only why is testing. Currently I am at 4000IU and my test results are 45 ng/ml, so, an 800IU would not do for me, it might for others, therefore, the dose should be individualized based on test results and may have to be varied based on diet changes and sun exposure in different times of the year.

I can’t take any type of opioid medication either, I get similar symptoms in a mild form, but when given morphine IV in an emergency ambulance I had a respiratory arrest which took several hours on a narcan infusion before I was stabilised. I have never taken recreational drugs. All I take is paracetamol and occasionally a non steroidal for sciatica and arthritis. I’m 70 years old, I live in fear of being given one of these drugs by some know it all medical practitioner.

The pharma industry is clearly worried about people discovering Vitamin D. I have never heard them say never test for something except Vitamin D. Keep testing for cholesterol and taking statins but never discuss that 5 years of statin use adds 4.25 days to your life while significantly increasing a whole bunch of side effects including insulin resistance.

It seems as though you are citing credible studies. I often don't know what to believe, about anything, these days with so many different opinions. A friend recommended a book a few years ago called The Optimum Dose. The author recommended very high amounts (and he also cited studies). I am taking a high dose now, though not as high as this book recommends. I was taking 10,000 IU per day, and read that too much D3 could cause fatigue. I cut down to 5,000 IU. After listening to your video, I think I will cut back to what you recommend.

This subject has undoubtedly the worst collection of research ever accumulated in medicine or science. Huge amounts of money has been spent on large studies across the globe that are so badly designed you have to wonder about the competence of those involved, their agenda, and how they ever got approved. Amazing that there is a big panic to supplement a woman who finds she got pregnant, while her counterparts in the cradle of Africa average 46 ng/ml; and that those with 60 ng/ml are less likely to get infected with SARS CoV-2. 🤭 "DO consider reducing you Vitamin D intake" - I have wasted a lot of time listening to this sh*t over the years, but that one was a first in Geriatrics internet communication. Medics of course are rigorously trained to do one thing and do that right, and that is to diagnose. And when that is done they might have a treatment pathway. So when you wait for symptoms to show it is already too late, the damage is done, including in other areas of concern such as deficiency in active Vitamin B12.

My wife started developing alzhimers in her mid 40s and survived it for almost 20 yrs and left this world in her early 60s last year. This nurological disorder is heridetial in her family. My father in law , my brother in law and my sister in law all died due to this disease. Now , unluckily we are expecting it for our young genration also. Basically alzhimers is failure of the nervous system in human body. Nerves started perishing and the brain cells started dieing , ther first result appears as loss of memory coupled with anger and the patient start repeating the things. It grows with time and the patient forgets to take a step or sawollo a bite. The patient can not controles the urine and stole and the last stage is quoma for the rest of life. Alzhimers is of 7 stages. Each stage is of 2 to 3 years. From stage 4 things start taking a difficult term. Bad habits like showing angee or becoming stobern appears. And the hard time for the family also appears. Which increase with the passing days. Alzhimers can not be reversed or controlled even. If the patient is lucky with proper medical care the stages can be prolonged. If the patient is more lucky the alzhimer stops at any stage but it is very vvery rare. Alzhimers is normally taken for dimensia which is loss of memory only. Dimensia is symptom onlt for an alzhimer patient. Infact our brain controles the whole body through our nerveous system. When the brain and nerveous system is not working then the function of our vital organs heart liver kidneys lungs etc are also not undee controle and do not work. Their failure cause quoma and death ultimetly. I am not a docter but i remained stucked with my wife for almost more than 15 years at home and did not wenr out. I did the house hold , raised my childern and managed everything. The things i learned in this time , i am sharing.
